My objective was to create a paper company and develop the branding. In working on this branding I developed a promotional book, along with promotional materials through social media and poster design.
Heintz Haus Paper Company is a paper company based on common ground, we all share a story of great importance that involves paper, whether that’s a birth certificate, immigration papers, a diploma, marriage certificate, or an award- we’re connected through our individual stories told on paper. For my family it has been a story of immigration, of which I’m lucky enough to have documentation and history accessible to me. There’s a huge significance in history that was told through paper, and some of the most important aspects of our lives are recorded on such.
For Heintz Haus Paper company, I was inspired by the German side of my family (Heintzman) and how important documentation is, and has been for myself, and millions around the world. Listed throughout this paper sample booklet, are the stories of how paper has influenced people from the past, my family, and current work. Each story is unique, so take a seat and tell your story on our paper.
For my materials, I worked in collage with images I found from my ancestry or digging through boxes back home. To showcase these collages-I laser cut clear Plexiglas for the cover and hand bound the book. Throughout the book, I incorporated different stories from people to tell their experiences on how paper has influenced their lives.
